The use of SON Formula to prevent many of the symptoms of aging

SON Formula® and Anti-Aging

SON Formula® is a dietary protein substitute that provides the MAP Master Amino Acid Pattern® (U.S. Patent No. 5,132,113) a unique pattern of essential amino acids in a highly purified, free, crystalline form.

SON Formula® is indicated as a safe and effective substitute for dietary proteins.

Why is the use of SON Formula® nutritionally more effective than dietary proteins or protein supplements?

Clinical studies have shown that SON Formula® can substitute dietary proteins or protein supplements in a safer and nutritionally more effective way to:

• Optimize Body Protein Synthesis(BPS).

• Optimize muscle mass, strength and endurance.

• Strengthen, firm and improve the quality of body proteins such as muscles, skin, nails and hair, etc.

Thus, the quality of life may be improved!

Fighting health disorders associated with aging

To date, many health disorders associated with the aging process have been misinterpreted as “natural” consequences. The reality is that most of these health disorders are not caused by the aging process by itself, but by the inadequate nutrition associated with it.

Inadequate nutrition (malnutrition) is common during the aging process. It has been estimated that in the average 70-year-old individual, the lean-body mass (the mass that makes up muscles, organs, skeleton, etc.) usually decreases up to 25%. During the same period, fat-body mass usually increases up to 100%.

During the aging process, malnutrition can be either
induced or aggravated, by common causes such as:

  • A decreased sense of taste and smell, which may reduce appetite, thus decreasing food intake.
  • Dental problems, which may decrease eating capabilities, thus decreasing food intake.
  • Infectious diseases, which may increase the body’s protein catabolism (breakdown) and cause other metabolic alterations, thus decreasing the absorption and utilization of nutrients, as well as increasing the need for nutrients.
  • Chronic degenerative diseases, which may increase the body’s protein catabolism (breakdown) and cause other metabolic alterations, thus increasing the need of nutrients.
  • Gastrointestinal disorders, which may limit the body’s absorption of nutrients and cause discomfort during digestion, thus decreasing food intake and decreasing the absorption and utilization of nutrients.
  • Neuro-psychiatric factors, which may cause anorexia, thus decreasing food intake.
  • Social economic factors, which may result in insufficient intake of food.

Malnutrition can, in turn, cause health disorders, such as:

  • Immune impairment, which may increase susceptibility to infectious diseases. These, in turn, may cause, or aggravate malnutrition as a result of many metabolic alterations. Thus, quality of life is compromised.
  • Anemia due to insufficient erythropoiesis (formation of red blood cells). It is estimated that more than 35% of individuals experience anemia during the aging process. Among the most common symptoms of anemia are shortness of breath and fatigue. Thus, quality of life is compromised.
  • Decreased lean-body mass. The lean-body mass is the mass that makes up muscles, organs, skeleton, etc. When lean-body mass decreases, body movements, including breathing, can be seriously limited. Thus, quality of life is compromised.
  • Increased body-fat mass. Overweight is the most common form of malnutrition in the USA. Body-fat mass can increase up to 100% during the aging process. This increase in body-fat mass may cause or aggravate health disorders such as: cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, shortness of breath, fatigue, and orthopedic afflictions. Thus, quality of life is compromised.

Why has the achievement of adequate nutrition during
the aging process, so far, been a scientific dilemma?

During the aging period, body renal (kidney) function intensely decreases. As a result, an average 70-year-old individual could retain only 30% of his juvenile renal function. Under these circumstances, even the adequate daily protein intake could be contraindicated, because it could cause an harmful increase in the bloodstream of nitrogen catabolites (metabolic waste), such as ammonia or Blood Urea Nitrogen (B.U.N.).

SON Formula® may solve this scientific dilemma by providing the highest BPS, as well as the lowest amount of nitrogen catabolites (NC), compared to any dietary protein or protein supplement. Therefore, SON Formula may substitute dietary proteins or protein supplements in a safer and nutritionally more effective way.

What is the difference between SON Formula® and any dietary protein or protein supplement?

  • SON Formula® provides the highest Body Protein Synthesis (BPS) compared to any dietary protein or protein supplement.

Clinical studies have shown that SON Formula® provides a 99% Net Nitrogen Utilization (NNU). This means that 99% of SON Formula® constituent amino acids act as precursors or “building blocks” for Body Protein Synthesis (BPS), to become body’s constituent proteins. Meanwhile, dietary proteins and protein supplements provide an average of 16-32% NNU. Therefore, dietary proteins and protein supplements provide a BPS that is 3 to 6 times lower, compared to SON Formula®.

  • SON Formula® may provide an easier and faster digestion compared to any dietary protein or protein supplement.

SON Formula® is absorbed in the small intestine within 23 minutes from its ingestion. By comparison, dietary proteins & protein supplements need from 3 to 6 hours to be digested. This means that dietary proteins & protein supplements digestion period is 6 to 12 times longer compared to SON Formula®.

  • SON Formula® provides the highest BPS/min ratio compared to any dietary protein or protein supplement.

By knowing a protein’s BPS (NNU) and its digestion time(min), a protein BPS/min ratio can be calculated as follows:

SON Formula®, BPS/min ratio is equal to 99% NNU/23 min. By comparison dietary proteins and protein supplements have a ratio of 16-32% NNU/180-360 minutes. This means that the BPS/min of dietary proteins and protein supplements is 24 to 96 times lower compared to SON Formula®.

  • SON Formula® releases the lowest amount of nitrogen metabolites (metabolic waste) compared to any dietary protein or protein supplement.

SON FORMULA releases only 1% nitrogen catabolites, namely metabolic toxic waste. By comparison, dietary proteins and protein supplements provide an average of 68-84% nitrogen catabolites. This means that dietary proteins & protein supplements release from 68 to 84 times more metabolic toxic waste compared to SON Formula®.

  • SON Formula® provides the lowest amount of calories compared to any dietary protein or protein supplement.

SON Formula® provides only 0.04 Kcal/g.

  • SON Formula®, in contrast with any dietary protein or protein supplement, is:
100% Sodium free. Which may help to control sodium intake
100% Fat free. Which may help to control fat intake
100% Sugar free. Which may help to control sugar intake

  • SON Formula® is not a medicine, it is a dietary supplement. No adverse reactions have ever been reported. SON Formula® may be safely used regardless of age, gender or health status to help meet their daily protein requirement.
  • SON Formula® contains no yeast, GMO, gluten, soy, corn, wheat, milk products or preservatives.

Why may the use of SON Formula® be more health-preserving than dietary proteins or protein supplements?

  • SON Formula® releases the lowest amount of nitrogen catabolites (metabolic waste) in comparison to any dietary protein or protein supplement. Therefore, its use during renal failure or hepatic failure, may be more health-preserving compared to dietary proteins or protein supplements.
  • SON Formula® provides an easier and faster digestion in comparison to any dietary protein or protein supplement. Therefore, its use , during gastrointestinal disorders, may be more health-preserving compared to dietary proteins or protein supplements.
  • SON Formula® provides essentially no calories. Therefore, its use during overweight prevention or treatment may be more health-preserving compared to dietary proteins or protein supplements.
  • SON Formula®, in contrast with any dietary protein or protein supplement is 100% sodium free. Therefore, its use during dietary sodium intake restriction may be more health-preserving compared to dietary proteins or protein supplements.
  • SON Formula®, in contrast with any dietary protein or protein supplement is 100% fat free. Therefore, its use during dietary fat intake restriction may be more health-preserving compared to dietary proteins or protein supplements.

SON Formula® suggested dosage: take 5 tablets daily or as directed by a health professional.
